2002 SALARY AND BENEFIT SURVEY

REQUEST FOR FEEDBACK

The Salary and Benefit Committee of MDMLG is requesting your feedback and ideas with regard to the Salary and Benefit Survey completed in 2002. Your response is needed to modify the survey format for distribution this year. The survey is available for your review on the MDMLG website -- http://www.mdmlg.org/members/salaries-benefits-survey-2002.htm. Did you find the information in the survey analysis to benefit you or your staff in any way? How did you make use of the survey?

Should we continue to conduct the Salary and Benefit Survey? The Salary and Benefit Survey is conducted every other year. Do you feel conducting the survey every other year is adequate?

The survey was mailed to 27 hospital-based institutional MDMLG members, 14 completed surveys were returned. Do you feel this is an adequate response rate? Could we do anything to improve the return rate?

An attempt is made to compare like institutions by basing the aggregate analysis on the Michigan Health & Hospital Associations Hospital Peer Groups (see Attachment A of survey). Other than Peer Group 1, there were insufficient numbers to individually separate the Peer Groups. Please comment on the Peer Group analysis.
