Promotion of MDMLG Health Sciences Award

Objectives:

Maintain two organizational listservs: one for MDMLG members and other interested individuals, and one for the MDMLG Executive Board members.
Maintain an informational web site for MDMLG.
Publish the 2006-2007 MDMLG Directory in HTML format.
Publish the MDMLG News in PDF format.
Provide web support for the Midwest Chapter MLA 2008 Meeting, as needed.

Accomplishments:

Three issues of the MDMLG Newsletter (Fall 2006, Winter 2006, and Spring 2007) were published on the MDMLG web site in conjunction with the MDMLG Newsletter Committee.

The Announcements for each of the MDMLG Programs were put on the web site, along with the maps / directions to each location and the Evaluation Forms.

The Meeting Minutes for both the General Membership Meetings and the Executive Board Meetings were mounted on the Members-Only portion of the web site. In addition, the Treasurer's Reports for this fiscal year were included on the Members-Only portion of the web site.

The MDMLG Directory was updated initially in August with current information obtained from the MDMLG Membership Committee, and subsequently updated as needed. In addition, the mailing labels file was updated and uploaded periodically.

Many other web pages were added or updated on the MDMLG web site: Announcements for the CE classes sponsored by MDMLG , Biographical Sketches for the Elections, Committee / Board Member web pages, Executive Board / Committee Chair Goals and Objectives, updated MDMLG Scholarship information, Annual Reports, and the Site Index. The Job Bank web page was updated as needed.

All current MDMLG members were added to the MDMLG-L listserv.

The entire MDMLG web site is link-checked and updated on a monthly basis.

Weekly emails are sent to the MDMLG listserv announcing the new Blog postings.

The MDMLG Username and Password for the Members-Only portion of the web site were changed in the fall after the membership renewals were completed. Each current member was notified.

The entire MDMLG web site is archived on CD ROM and submitted to the MDMLG Archives on an annual basis.

Work Yet To Be Accomplished:

The June 2007 Newsletter issue will be on the web site by June 7 th .
