OBJECTIVES:

To plan and implement one MLA CE course
To plan and implement one class for support staff of MDMLG libraries
To participate in the preparation of the CAM conference (to be held in October, 2001)

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

A CE course on consumer health information was offered on May 16, 2001. The course was taught by NN/LM GMR staff, Tammy Mays, Consumer Health Coordinator and Stephanie Weldon, Communications Coordinator.
A DOCline and SERhold course was offered for support staff.
Some members of the committee are continuing to work on the steering committee for the CAM conference. D. LeBar has agreed to be the interim Professional Development Committee chair. M. Kostrzewski and D. LeBar are recruiting exhibitors for the conference. They have also created introductory cover letters and vendor agreement forms, and have submitted status reports to the steering committee.
