Objectives:
- Evaluate web site to determine if it is being fully
utilized.
- Evaluate current notification of members to determine
if email can replace any of the U.S. Postal Service mailings for
announcements, notices, etc.
- Work with Wayne State University members to
facilitate programs for CE credits.
Accomplishments:
- Per consensus of the general membership, support only
the online version of the directory on the website.
- Determined that email notification for all meetings,
voting, etc. is not an option at this time. Although it could save
money for the organization, problems with email and voting procedures
would prohibit this change.
- Worked with Wayne State University to provide three
free National Library of Medicine continuing education classes in lieu
of the canceled CAM-ERA conference.
- Cosponsored with Swets-Blackwell a four hour
continuing education course, "Virtual Collection
Development", and luncheon at the Hyatt Regency in Dearborn on
March 6, 2002.
- Received approval for updating the bylaws to:
-expand the membership categories
-change the terms of committee members and restrictions placed on
committee chairs.
Respectfully submitted,
